Dreams Dreaming Dream Interpretation

Dreams are incredible things. They can give us insight into ourselves, others, and situations going on in our life. But can they save our lives? Many people think so! Some believe that our subconscious can warn us of impending or current medical issues that our conscious may be ignoring. But dreams involving your health can also be due to stress and anxiety.

Here is a list of health-related dreams and what they may mean:

Ambulances
If you dream of an ambulance, you may be concerned about your health or that of someone close to you. If you think something is physically wrong, but have been avoiding seeing a doctor about it, the stress of worrying may be causing you to have this dream.

Asthma
Even if you do not have asthma, you may dream of having an asthma attack, in which you cannot breathe. This can be a sign that you are struggling with an issue or feel you are being smothered by something. Just like with the ambulance dream, this dream can be caused by worry and concern.

Stomach
Having a dream that your stomach hurts can be a sign that your dietary needs are not being met, but it can also mean that you cannot fully digest a situation or that you are rejecting an experience.

Blood
When you see blood, you usually think of pain, but in the case of a dream, it may be symbolic of emotional pain. Blood is also seen as carrying diseases, so you may feel that your health is somehow in peril. If you dream that you have lost a great deal of blood, you may be feeling physically drained during the day or suffering from a lack of motivation.

Constipation
If you dream of being constipated, you may be holding in your feelings or suffering from an inner tension. You may feel you cannot fully express yourself or be suffering from a lack of self-esteem.

Death
Dreaming of death can happen when you feel some important part of your life has died, that is you have left it behind. If a relationship is ending or changing dramatically, we may dream of the death of that person. If you dream that you are dying, it may be your psyche’s way of trying to understand what death means and deal with the eventuality of it.

Dizzy
If you dream you are dizzy or faint, it could mean that you are involved in a situation or relationship in which you fear failing. You may also feel overwhelmed, that things are moving too fast, and are out of control.

Germs/Virus
Dreaming of germs may mean that you feel that your health is being damaged by something invisible. You may know instinctively that you have been exposed to some type of virus and you are coming down with something even if you are not currently experiencing any noticeable symptoms. This type of dream can also suggest that you have been involved with something that makes you feel dirty or unclean.

Sick
If you dream you are vomiting, you may actually be trying to get rid of something within you that disturbs you, such as a thought, feeling, or personality trait. When you dream of vomiting, it is your mind’s way of telling you that subconsciously, you do not really agree with the thought, feeling, or personality trait and therefore, you are trying to physically rid yourself of it in your dream.

Thermometer
If you have a dream in which you have a thermometer in your mouth, it can mean that you are judging your emotions to see whether they are warm or cold. It can also be a dream concerning your physical health, whether you are actually ill or just believe you are.

When you have dreams of your health, you need to ask yourself if you physically feel ill or have just been worried about your health. If not, the dreams may be caused by anxiety or stress in your life related to certain situations or relationships with others. If you have any concerns about your physical health, you should seek out the advice of a health care professional. Remember – your mind is an incredible thing and may know you are sick before you even realise it!
