What this tool does
It takes a dream you've had recently, or one that keeps coming back, and gives you a written interpretation of what the main symbols, feelings and events in it could mean. You tell it what happened, answer a few follow up questions about how you felt and what is going on in your life, and you get a readable summary in return.
Think of it as a starting point for reflection rather than a definitive answer. Dreams are personal, and the same image can mean different things to different people.
When it might be useful
This is for anyone who has woken up puzzled by a dream and wants to make sense of it. Common reasons people use it include recurring dreams, nightmares that feel loaded with meaning, strange symbols they can't shake off, or dreams that seem tied to something they are working through at the moment, such as a relationship, a job change or a bereavement.
It is a light, reflective tool. It is not therapy, and it is not a substitute for speaking to a GP or counsellor if something is affecting your sleep or your mental health. If your dreams are causing real distress, please talk to someone qualified.
How it works
You type a description of your dream in your own words. The tool will ask two or three short questions to get a bit more context, for example how the dream made you feel or what was happening in your waking life around that time. You then get a plain English breakdown covering the key symbols, the emotional tone, possible themes and a few prompts you might want to sit with. You can use it as often as you like, it is free, and your dream description is not saved to a public profile.
